Plataforma ONG de Acción Social is a private, non-denominational, non-profit network of 35 non-governmental organisations, federations and networks based in Spain, declared of public utility. It defends the rights of the most disadvantaged groups and people, promotes participation in social action and seeks social change. It coordinates the X Solidaria campaign, which encourages taxpayers in Spain to mark the Actividades de Interés Social box in their income tax return to fund social projects, and it works with partner organisations on social issues including older people, disability, poverty, homelessness, gender equality and migration. Its international cooperation work covers projects in other countries with people in poverty, women, children, refugees and displaced people, human rights defenders and Indigenous peoples.
