Powerjobsøgerne is a Danish non-profit job-search network founded in 2010 by Malene Gregaard Wilsly, who set it up while she was unemployed and wanted other job seekers to share support with. The network was registered as a socialøkonomisk virksomhed (social enterprise) in 2014. It supports job seekers across Denmark through membership, free of charge, with local branches in several municipalities. Members meet two days a week: an inspiration day with talks from professional experts and peers, and a Powerwork day where members run the network's activities in working groups. The network also offers workshops and lectures for job seekers and for professionals such as unemployment insurance funds and job centres, a Powerjobboost course, an online community, and a job-search festival. Companies can use the network to recruit candidates free of charge, and municipalities can buy tailored membership packages. The network describes its aim as creating job-search motivation and empowerment, and it also advocates on job seekers' behalf in political and public debate.
