About
Founded in 1939, Radiohjälpen is a grant-making foundation based in Stockholm, Sweden working on humanitarian aid & disaster relief, children & youth, disability +2 more.
Radiohjälpen is a Swedish public service fundraising foundation, founded in 1939, that collects money for humanitarian purposes in Sweden and internationally. Its board governs the foundation, which coordinates the fundraising of the public service broadcasters Sveriges Television, Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Utbildningsradio. Radiohjälpen does not run its own projects. Instead, it funds international projects through approved Swedish civil society partner organisations, with final funding decisions made by its board. Its national work supports children and young people with disabilities in Sweden, for example through leisure activities that reduce isolation. Its international work responds to crises and disasters and aims to support health care, education, livelihoods and emergency aid, based on human rights conventions and humanitarian principles. Its annual campaigns include Världens Barn and Music Aid, and it launches emergency appeals when major humanitarian crises occur.
