Rakennustuotteiden Laatu Säätiö sr is a public-benefit foundation based in Helsinki, Finland. It was established in 2007 to continue the work of Rakennustuotteiden Laatu RTL ry, an association founded by the building products industry in 1996 for product quality inspection and certification. The foundation promotes the technical and quality management development of the building products, construction and building services industries, aiming to strengthen industry competitiveness and verify product conformity. It funds research, development and training projects, including projects on environmental problems and occupational safety, and supports university professorships and student theses. It grants scholarships and grants to companies, research institutions, communities and educational institutions, typically covering 40 to 60 percent of project costs, and organises seminars and recognitions such as the annual Pro Quality awards for theses. Its board is made up of construction industry experts and is nominated by industry associations. Since its founding, the foundation has distributed more than 6 million euros in grants, donations and subsidies.
