It works to expand access to decentralised, distributed and renewable energy, mainly solar power with battery storage, installed at community centres, clinics and elderly care homes. Its work includes co-developing solar systems with local organisations, providing technical assistance and proposal development, and distributing unrestricted emergency aid to community responders after disasters such as Hurricane Fiona. It has reported collaborating on dozens of energy systems across more than 20 municipalities, and it runs a community-led approach that aims to give communities local control over renewable energy assets.
