S.O.Solidarietà ODV is an international volunteer organisation founded in 2000 and based in Salerno, Italy. It works in Nigeria and Italy on poverty, education, child welfare, food security, water, healthcare, support for the elderly and people with disabilities, environmental protection and cultural activities. Its main programme is a distance support scheme (SAD) that funds schooling and related costs for children in Nigeria. Its operational headquarters are in the village of Ngugo, Nigeria, in partnership with the Daughters of Charity of the Precious Blood. The organisation raises funds through donations, events and sales of handcrafted goods, and states that about 5 percent of donations cover awareness and operating costs. It is registered in the Italian Third Sector register (RUNTS) and the Campania Region volunteer register, and is part of several national networks.
