It works in multi-use forest landscapes beyond protected areas in West Kalimantan, including the Bentarum landscape in Kapuas Hulu, to protect and restore ecosystems, improve local livelihoods, support customary forest recognition for indigenous communities, and strengthen land-use governance. Its work spans biodiversity monitoring, scientific research, village facilitation, GIS and landscape mapping, and engagement with communities, governments and companies to advance sustainable land use.
