Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) is a non-profit organisation active in the Chitwan area of Nepal, registered with the Social Welfare Council. It was initiated by Sapana Village Lodge and works to alleviate poverty and empower women and marginalised communities. Its work covers education, health, women's empowerment, income generation and environmental conservation, including short- and long-term projects in housing, schools, scholarships, health camps, WASH, skills training and SME loans. It also provides aid after natural disasters, such as the 2015 earthquake and floods. The organisation states it reaches around ten thousand people a year and works with the Nepali Government and national and international NGOs. Its projects are built on participatory approaches aiming at self-sufficiency, and some projects generate profit that funds new initiatives.
