SAVN

Founded in 2005, SAVN is a non-profit association based in København NV, Denmark working on justice & legal aid, children & youth.

SAVN is a Danish non-profit association (pårørendeforening) that supports relatives of people in prison, including children, young people, partners and parents. It offers free telephone and chat counselling, family and weekend stays, children's and youth groups, and advice for professionals such as teachers, pedagogues and social workers who work with children of prisoners. SAVN also provides information materials, conducts research and reports, and advocates for better conditions for children and other relatives of people in prison. It was founded in 2005 by a relative and a prisoner and operates across Denmark, with groups held in most prisons and detention centres.
