ShelterBox Schweiz

Founded in 2005, ShelterBox Schweiz is a non-profit association based in Zürich, Switzerland working on humanitarian aid & disaster relief, housing & homelessness.

ShelterBox Schweiz is a Swiss association and the Swiss branch of ShelterBox, a disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter and essential household tools to families displaced by natural disasters and conflict. The Swiss association raises funds, recruits volunteers and speakers, and presents the work of ShelterBox to schools, organisations and events across Switzerland. It transfers the donations it collects to the UK-based NGO ShelterBox International, which carries out the relief operations. The association was founded in 2005 on the initiative of the Rotaract Club Suisse/Liechtenstein and is independent but shares Rotary values; its operational board consists of Rotarians, and Rotary International is an official project partner of ShelterBox. Presentations are offered in German, French, Italian and English. Supporters can give one-off or recurring donations, become members, sponsor, fundraise, or leave a legacy.
