Skovgro is a Danish association that plants and manages forest in local communities, mainly in Holbæk and Odsherred. Its aim is to protect drinking water by acquiring or leasing farmland near groundwater boreholes, to increase biodiversity and to bind CO2. It also works as a cultural association, creating learning, art and knowledge about forests. Activities include tree-planting days, workshops, educational visits for schools, and public events. Membership and shared land ownership through land shares fund its work, and it collaborates with waterworks, utilities, municipalities, schools and businesses.
