SODePAZ (Solidaridad para el Desarrollo y la Paz) is a secular, independent non-governmental association founded in 1987 that cooperates with communities and social organisations in the Global South to promote social justice and collective transformation. Its work spans renewable energy, food sovereignty, access to drinking water, health, human rights and climate change action in several countries, including Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico and Palestine. It runs a fair-trade and solidarity-economy shop in Madrid, carries out education for global citizenship and social transformation, and engages in political advocacy and social mobilisation in Spain. The organisation is financed by its members, individual donations and public cooperation funds, and maintains an ethical whistleblowing channel. Its head office is in Madrid, with offices in several other Spanish cities.
