The foundation receives donations to fund projects that give people in developing countries access to safe, hot water, aiming to reduce waterborne and hygiene-related diseases, reduce firewood use and deforestation, and save women and children time. The organisation reports use in more than 40 countries. A US foundation supports donations within the United States.
