SOS Malnate ODV is a volunteer organisation based in Malnate, in the Varese province of Lombardy, Italy. Founded in 1982 and affiliated with ANPAS, the Italian national association of public assistance organisations, it provides non-urgent and emergency ambulance transport, special vehicle transport, transport for people with disabilities and social transport for elderly or vulnerable residents. It also offers event medical assistance at sports events and fairs, first aid and BLS/BLSD training courses, and a blood sample collection point in Malnate in partnership with the Bianalisi laboratory. Its civil protection group responds to emergencies and disasters in cooperation with public authorities. The organisation promotes youth, European and civil service volunteering through Casa Grizzetti and its SOS Junior group. It operates on a non-profit basis, reinvesting resources into its services, and is funded by donations, legacies, service reimbursements, public contributions and the 5 per mille. It is registered in the RUNTS register under the Third Sector Code (D.Lgs. 117/2017).
