It supports children, young people and families in poverty in Namibia through education, vocational training, nutrition and income-generating small businesses. Its projects, run in Namibia at several sites including Okakarara, Gobabis and Okahandja, include a sponsorship programme for schoolchildren, a family support programme for orphan care, kindergartens, computer schools and soup kitchens. The foundation's income-generating enterprises, such as a carpentry workshop, a sewing room, vegetable gardens and guest houses, contribute surplus to its social projects. The Swiss foundation funds these activities through donations and transfers funds to the German founding organisation. Its finances are audited according to ZEWO guidelines, and its supervisory board works on a voluntary basis. Donations are tax-deductible across Swiss cantons.
