Strangells Stiftelse för natur- och djurskydd is a Swedish foundation based in Östersund, formed in spring 2015 from the will of artist Ingeborg Strangell. It manages six forest properties in Jämtland, Västernorrland and Gävleborg counties, which are left to natural development without forestry or hunting, and it awards annual grants to projects, associations and activities that promote nature conservation and animal protection, with priority given to the Norrland counties. Grants follow the foundation's policy, which covers research, projects and activities supporting nature conservation and free-living wild animals, activities in line with Djurens Rätt, and the abolition of painful animal experiments. The foundation's board is made up of representatives appointed by Naturskyddsföreningen regional branches and Djurens Rätt. Applications are submitted by email in four application periods per year.
