About

Temexw Treaty Association is a non-profit association based in Victoria, Canada working on human rights, democracy & civil society.

Temexw Treaty Association is a non-profit society formed by five Coast Salish Nations: Beecher Bay, Malahat, Snaw-naw-as, Songhees and TSou-ke. The member Nations came together to support one another in negotiating five Nation-specific Modern Treaties with the federal and provincial governments as part of the British Columbia Treaty Process. The association works to negotiate just, modern-day treaties that include rights and ownership of land, to support self-governance and to ensure citizens are knowledgeable and prepared to make informed decisions. It also runs a members-only portal for member Nations with updates on events, treaty news and important information. The association is based in Victoria, British Columbia, and its member Nations are located on southern and central Vancouver Island.
