The Man That Rescues Dogs Foundation, also known as TMTRD, is a non-profit dog sanctuary in Chonburi province, Thailand. It shelters and rehabilitates sick, injured and disabled rescue dogs, feeds and monitors street dogs, and runs a low-cost veterinary clinic offering spay and neuter, vaccinations and other care. The foundation also works with the local municipality on stray dog control, runs a dog sponsorship scheme, and plans education visits to schools and public spaces. It was founded by Michael J. Baines, a Swedish entrepreneur who began rescuing dogs in Bangsaen after a sick dog appeared at his restaurant, and it relies entirely on donations, sponsorships and adoptions.
