Thunder Independent is a non-profit association in Warsaw, Poland, made up of current and former soldiers of the GROM Military Unit. It works to preserve the memory of fallen and deceased comrades and to commemorate the Cichociemni, the Home Army special paratroopers of the Second World War. Since its informal beginnings and formal establishment in June 2022, it has helped unveil stones, monuments and memorial plaques at former drop sites across Poland, often together with local authorities and residents. Its stated goals include promoting Polish independence traditions, honouring fallen special forces soldiers and popularising motorcycle tourism. Its best-known activity is the annual motorcycle Rajd Pamięci, which visits the graves of deceased GROM soldiers and has been held since 2009.
