Transexualia is a Spanish non-governmental organisation founded in 1987 and declared a public utility organisation in Madrid. It is the first association specifically for trans people in Spain. It works for the social normalisation of transsexuality and the defence of gender identity, against discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. Its activities include socio-labour integration programmes, HIV and STI prevention and sexual health services, food aid for vulnerable trans people, legal and psychological advice, and advice to public administrations on inclusive laws and policies. It is based in Madrid and runs projects in several Spanish regions.
