Tribes and Natures Defenders Inc. (TRINAD) is an indigenous peoples-led non-governmental organisation based in the Philippines, formerly registered as Higa-onon Ha Migsabuwa Ta Lanao Inc. It was created by the Tribal Council of Elders to protect the sacred forest of local tribes, secure food security and resist outside exploitation of ancestral lands. Its work covers education, healthcare, environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, livelihoods, peacebuilding and the preservation of indigenous culture, language and traditions. Its programmes focus on indigenous communities in Mindanao, particularly Misamis Oriental. The organisation runs a college scholarship project for tribal students, forest patrols, reforestation and agroforestry projects, and funds these through donations, sponsorships and partner support. Its board, staff and community workers are led by indigenous members.
