Udruženje paraplegičara Podgorica is a non-governmental humanitarian organisation based in Podgorica, Montenegro, that works to protect the rights of persons with disabilities. Its stated mission is to secure the rights of persons with disabilities in the Podgorica municipality in line with international standards, by improving their difficult socio-economic situation, amending regulations and promoting their social integration. The association advocates for state institutions to meet their obligations towards persons with disabilities, and reports having carried out more than 20 projects and contributed to changes in a large number of documents on improving the position of persons with disabilities. Its members are people with spinal cord injuries, polio survivors, people with amputated limbs and people with related diagnoses. The association was founded on 20 February 2002 and was registered as a non-governmental organisation with the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro; it was re-registered on 30 October 2013. Its assembly is made up of all members and its management board has five members, two of whom are persons with disabilities. The association also maps and promotes accessibility of public facilities, such as ramps, accessible toilets and parking in Podgorica, Herceg Novi and other coastal locations.
