It works to raise awareness of the situation of Palestine refugees and to mobilise citizens, public institutions and private bodies in their support. Its activities include fundraising and donor engagement, humanitarian information and advocacy, and education for global citizenship and human rights in Spain. The wider UNRWA agency, which the committee supports, provides education, primary healthcare, social services, emergency aid, water and sanitation, and microfinance to Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank. The committee's board is made up of volunteers. Its work is guided by the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence.
