About

Wildlife Habitat Canada is a charity based in Ottawa, Canada working on nature & wildlife conservation, environment & climate, arts & culture.

Wildlife Habitat Canada is a national, non-profit, charitable conservation organisation based in Ottawa, Ontario. Since 1985 it has funded habitat conservation projects through the Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp Grant Program, which is financed by Stamp sales to migratory game bird hunters, and through other grant programmes. It also runs the national wildlife art competition that selects the Stamp artwork, produces research and reports such as the Canadian Wildlife Values Report, and advocates for migratory birds and their habitats in national and international policy forums. The organisation reports having provided over 64 million in funding, supported more than 1,600 conservation projects and helped conserve over 1.43 million acres of habitat. It is a member of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan and works with governments, conservation organisations and communities.
