Founded in 2015, Za živé rieky a čistú vodu is a non-profit network based in Zvolen, Slovakia working on environment & climate, nature & wildlife conservation, water & sanitation.

Za živé rieky a čistú vodu is an informal citizen initiative in Slovakia that campaigns for the protection and restoration of rivers and water quality. It brings together river users, anglers, scientists, local authorities, NGOs and residents. The initiative works on public advocacy, such as commenting on draft laws and water management plans and engaging in decisions on projects with a negative impact on water bodies. It also runs awareness events, river trips, clean-up actions and volunteer monitoring, and supports local initiatives. Its work is financed through voluntary contributions and donations, and it has no legal personality of its own.
