About
Zjednotení za mier is a non-profit association based in Slovakia working on peace & conflict, human rights, democracy & civil society.
Zjednotení za mier (United for Peace) is a Slovak civic association working to build a culture of peace and non-violence. It was formed in 2021 through the merger of the association Ľudia za mier / People for Peace with the civic initiative Zjednotení za mier. Its activities include organising an international peace forum in Bratislava, peace marches against armament, a student competition on non-violent resistance, and public campaigns on issues such as the Iranian nuclear sites, the war in Ukraine and European security. The association promotes disarmament, human rights, social justice, sustainable development and dialogue over military confrontation. It operates mainly in Slovakia and also publishes its materials in Czech, English, Esperanto and other languages.
