About

Founded in 2018, ACES Project is a ngo headquartered in Sweden specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.

The Adaptive Control of Energy Storage (ACES) project is an international research initiative focused on developing and demonstrating adaptive optimization of battery energy storage services using artificial intelligence algorithms. The project combines advanced battery health monitoring, power quality measurement, and innovative billing solutions to improve the economics and deployment of energy storage in renewable power grids. Seven partners from Sweden, Norway, and Germany collaborated on demonstration sites integrating solar energy with battery storage systems, including micro-grid applications and housing association installations. The project operated from October 2018 to February 2021 with a budget of 1.6 million EUR, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, Research Council of Norway, and German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy through the ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems framework.
