Founded in 2021, AMPYR Solar Europe is a private headquartered in Germany with approximately 50-200 employees specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.

AMPYR Solar Europe was created in 2021 through the incorporation of NaGa Solar into the existing AMPYR Energy UK joint venture between AGP Sustainable Real Assets (backed by Stonepeak) and Hartree Partners. The company is positioned as a leading European independent power producer focusing on ground-mounted solar parks, rooftop systems, and innovative offerings such as Agri PV, floating PV, and solar carports. The company operates in-house capabilities spanning land acquisition, permitting, development, construction, operation, and power commercialisation. As of 2023, AMPYR Solar Europe has completed its first three solar farm projects in the Netherlands (Echt-Susteren, Venray, and Tinte) with combined generation of over 20 MWp operational. The company has a combined pipeline of over 7 GW of utility-scale solar projects, with over 1 GWp operational, under construction or in advanced development. Leadership includes experienced renewable energy executives from backgrounds including BP, ENI, Vatten fall, and major financial institutions.
