Founded in 2009, Appb is a co-op headquartered in Lisboa, Portugal specializing in Biomass, Biogas, Hydrogen.

Associação Portuguesa de Produtores de Bioenergia represents the interests of Portuguese producers of ecological alternatives to fossil fuels, including biofuels and renewable gases of biological origin. The association advocates for sustainability, reduction of energy import dependency, and market-responsive solutions. Members include major biodiesel producers and renewable gas companies such as Rega Energy and Grupo Floene (Portugal's largest gas distribution operator). The association actively engages in policy advocacy, regulatory compliance oversight, and industry promotion across biofuels, biomethane, and green hydrogen sectors.
