Founded in March 2017 by Dr.-Ing. Michael Schönleber and Dr.-Ing. Jan Richter, Batemo is a global technology leader in lithium-ion battery simulation software. The company combines battery modeling, parameterization, and measurement data to solve central challenges in battery development. Batemo has measured hundreds of battery cells across multiple chemistries (NMC, NCA, LFP, sodium-ion) and formats (cylindrical, pouch, prismatic), developing over 130 physical Li-ion cell models and its first sodium-ion model. The company offers products including Batemo CellModel (physical battery cell models), CellData (measurement data with visualization), Cell Designer (simulation-based cell design), Cube Model (local effect simulation), Pack Designer (module/pack modeling), and Cell Explorer (database of 270+ cells with independent measurement data). Batemo has been cash-flow positive since 2018 and remains 100% independent and customer-funded.
