Founded in 2003, BioFuel Region is a non-profit headquartered in Umeå, Sweden with approximately 1-10 employees specializing in Biogas, Biomass, Hydrogen.
BioFuel Region is a member-owned, non-profit organisation based in Umeå, Sweden, that brings together municipalities, companies and research bodies in the four northernmost counties of Sweden. Through projects and networks it works to accelerate the transition to a fossil-free society and a stronger bioeconomy, covering biogas, renewable fuels, sustainable transport, hydrogen and the use of biomass. Its activities are carried out through its operating company BioFuel Region AB and are financed through membership fees and project funding.
