Founded in 2006, BIOPLAT is a ngo headquartered in Madrid, Spain specializing in Biomass, Biogas, Hydrogen.

BIOPLAT is a non-profit national platform established in 2006 dedicated to determining conditions and identifying viable strategies for sustainable commercial biomass promotion in Spain. It integrates all public-private actors forming the biomass value chain and promotes technological advancement, biocircular processes, and solutions through research, innovation, and public-private partnerships. The platform focuses on developing national technological strategies for bioenergy, bioproducts, biomaterials, and biochemicals aligned with EU and national objectives. It facilitates collaboration between companies and technology centers, supports R&D funding, and provides market intelligence through tools like Biocircular MApp database. In 2024, BIOPLAT created Biocirc as a spin-off focused on regulation and policy in biocircularidad. The platform operates the Hub Biocircular Estatal providing events, training, publications, and advocacy for the biocircular sector.
