Biorecycling Sagl, founded in 2015, is a waste valorization and renewable energy company based in Switzerland. The company operates a biogas fermentation plant that processes organic waste from restaurants, schools, hospitals, and food distribution chains. Feedstock includes kitchen waste, expired products, animal manure, garden waste, and used vegetable oils. The biogas generated powers a stationary motor to produce electricity equivalent to 500 household consumptions and heat for facility operations. Excess heat is used to dry wood chips. The digestate byproduct, available in liquid and solid forms, is used as a complete semi-solid fertilizer replacing chemical fertilizers. The company also operates Regioil Sagl for used vegetable oil collection and valorization, with a subsidiary Biodiesel Suisse Sagl producing biodiesel for heavy vehicles and agricultural machinery. Collection vehicles use biodiesel fuel exclusively. The facility in Cadenazzo has been operational since June 2017.
