Blámi (Blámi Energy Initiative) is a collaborative initiative based in the Westfjords of Iceland, run as a partnership between Landsvirkjun, Orkubú Vestfjarða, the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate and Vestfjarðastofa. It aims to drive the energy transition in transport and maritime and industrial sectors by promoting sustainable electricity, batteries, e-fuels, hydrogen and renewable energy use. It supports innovation, entrepreneurs, research and development, seeks international funding, and connects public and private actors. Its work includes reports on energy use in Icelandic fish farming, EV charging infrastructure in the Westfjords, and an annual list of energy transition projects.
