Founded in 1989, Centro da Biomassa para a Energia is a non-profit headquartered in Miranda do Corvo, Portugal specializing in Biomass.
The Centro da Biomassa para a Energia (CBE) is a private, non-profit technical and scientific association of public interest, founded in 1989, that promotes the valorisation of biomass for energy in Portugal. It works on quantifying, optimising and valorising biomass across its value chains, from production and collection to use, supporting integrated resource management, rural fire prevention and the energy transition. Its activities include technical studies and consulting, an accredited laboratory for solid biofuels, R&D projects, training and events, and biomass price indices. It has 38 members, including public entities and private companies.
