COBEN is a transnational Interreg North Sea Region project that promotes civic energy, meaning decentralised renewable energy owned or operated by local communities, cooperatives and local authorities. It supports pilot projects across six North Sea regions in solar, wind, bioenergy and waste heat, and develops transferable business models, policy instruments, planning tools and a Civic Energy Cycle process approach. The project website is built by Appcom bv.
