Founded in 2021, LDES Council is a non-profit headquartered in Etterbeek, Belgium specializing in Energy Storage.
The LDES Council is a member-led, non-profit global coalition that works to accelerate the innovation, commercialisation and deployment of long duration energy storage (LDES). Founded at COP26 in 2021, it has over 60 members in 24 countries, spanning technology providers, utilities, grid operators, industrial users, investors and policymakers. Its activities include policy advocacy, fact-based research and cost benchmarking, educational resources, working groups, and project tracking. The Council is governed by an elected Board of Directors and is headquartered in Belgium.
