Dornbohner is a family-run agricultural enterprise spanning four generations in Hittisweiler, Germany. The operation combines traditional dairy farming with modern renewable energy infrastructure. The farm manages approximately 130 dairy cattle (Braunvieh and Holstein breeds) and operates a 420 kW biogas facility and 185 kWp photovoltaic installation. All electricity consumption is powered by its own biogas facility. Direct marketing of raw milk and dairy products occurs through two automated vending stations. The farm maintains certification for GMO-free milk production and operates as an accredited training facility for agricultural apprentices since 1963. Recent infrastructure includes a modern animal welfare facility completed in 2022 and a multi-generational residential building.
