Founded in 2006 by Wim Maris as an eco-pioneer, Ecotechnieken provides affordable ecological solutions ranging from sustainable energy systems to ecological building and finishing materials. The company specializes in solar energy installations, heat pump systems, controlled ventilation with heat recovery, low-temperature heating, water conservation systems, and ecological building materials. Operating in the Diksmuide and West-Vlaanderen regions, Ecotechnieken employs approximately eight technicians with specialized expertise, supported by three part-time administrative staff. The company maintains a showroom and webshop in Diksmuide and has expanded to include an eco-building materials store. Recent projects include the cohousing Eikenberg development in Bruges involving 18 dwellings with integrated renewable and sustainable systems.
