About

Founded in 2020, Emerging-PV is a ngo headquartered in Jülich, Germany specializing in Solar.

Emerging-PV (EPVRI) is an academic international consortium dedicated to collecting, presenting, and analyzing data on emerging photovoltaic materials and devices. The initiative provides an alternative reference to established efficiency tables by summarizing best research results from academic journals, with emphasis on reproducibility and best practices in characterization and reporting. The platform focuses on highest-performing devices in terms of efficiency, flexibility, transparency, and photo-stability. Results are compiled into annual Emerging PV Reports published in Advanced Energy Materials journal. The consortium was founded in 2020 based on an original concept by Dr. O. Almora, and is organized by a steering committee including Osbel Almora (Manager), Karen Forberich (Vice-Manager), and members Christoph Brabec, Jens Hauch, and Thomas Kirchartz.
