eNargiZinc

About

Founded in 2024, eNargiZinc is a government headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain specializing in Energy Storage.

eNargiZinc is a Horizon Europe-funded research training network led by the University of Zaragoza that aims to develop innovative and cost-effective next-generation electrochemical energy storage devices. The project encompasses comprehensive research on sodium-ion batteries, zinc-air batteries, and zinc-ion batteries/hybrid supercapacitors, with focus on sustainable electrode materials, electrolytes, and full-cell integration at industrially-relevant scales. The project includes a rigorous training-through-research programme for 11 doctoral candidates and features regular training schools, workshops, and public engagement activities through Science Espresso initiatives.
