Energie Naturelle Mollendruz SA was established on 25 February 2009 to plan, construct, and manage a wind energy park at the Mollendruz plateau in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. The project involves 12 wind turbines with 134-meter masts designed to exploit strong alpine winds. The company is structured as a cooperative ownership model, with EWZ (Zurich's electricity service) holding 50% and the municipalities of Juriens, La Praz, Mont-la-Ville, and the city of Yverdon-les-Bains each holding 10%. The park represents a significant commitment to renewable energy production, with environmental protections for bat and bird populations, noise mitigation measures, and landscape preservation protocols. The project is positioned as one of the largest planned wind parks in the Vaud canton and is expected to generate electricity for up to 10,000 households over 30 years.
