About
Enovoltaics is a renewable energy company headquartered in Spain specializing in Solar.
Enovoltaics is an operational working group project focused on developing and demonstrating symbiotic photovoltaic integration in vineyard territories. Led by researchers from the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), the project integrates solar panel installations across approximately 29,000 hectares of vineyards in the Murcia region, with potential installed capacity of 4,900 MW. The initiative has been recognized as a best practice in circular economy and sustainability. The project involves harvesting grapes grown under solar panels for experimental wine production in Jumilla and Yecla, proving technical and economic viability of agrivoltaic systems while minimizing impact on agricultural output. Results have been published in peer-reviewed journals including Frontiers in Energy Research and presented at international conferences. The project is co-financed by European agricultural development funds (FEADER).
