Founded as HSE AG in 2013 and renamed ENTEGA AG in 2015, the company has grown to become a leading renewable energy producer and regional utility. The company operates across multiple business segments: electricity generation from renewables (solar, wind, and hydro), gas distribution, heating supply, fiber optic telecommunications, and water/wastewater management. ENTEGA has invested over €300 million into renewable energy infrastructure in recent years, with installed capacity exceeding 300 MW from onshore wind, offshore wind, and solar. The company operates multiple subsidiaries including e-netz Südhessen AG (distribution network operator), ENTEGA Plus GmbH, citiworks AG (energy trading), and ENTEGA Medianet (telecommunications).
