Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Novi Sad, Serbia, Esotron is the largest company in Serbia dedicated to collection of waste edible oils and the only registered operator for organized collection and processing of organic waste. The company is the first in Serbia to obtain permits for grinding and hygienization of organic waste. Esotron operates a nationwide collection network across Serbia and extends operations to Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Austria, and Poland through partnership with Ekotron. The company holds ISCC EU certification (obtained 2013, annually renewed) for sustainable biomass control and adheres to RED (Renewable Energy Directive) requirements. Esotron provides waste management and environmental consulting services, with over 2,500 client partnerships including restaurants, hotels, food industry facilities, and government institutions. The company won UNDP innovation award for climate change mitigation.
