Espace découverte Energie (EdE) is an association in the Saint-Imier and Grand Chasseral region of the Swiss Jura bernois, based around the Mont-Soleil and Mont-Crosin solar and wind installations. It was founded as a simple company in 1997 by the municipalities and local energy companies Juvent SA and Société Mont-Soleil together with the regional tourism office, and became an association in 2019. Its goal is to promote and develop renewable energies and inform the public about energy. It works through three areas of expertise: policy, tourism/information, and technical. EdE runs educational programmes and visitor activities, including the Sentier des Monts trail, the GoGy interactive energy room and the EXPO Electro exhibition in Saint-Imier. It also hosts research projects with Swiss universities and universities of applied sciences. The Canton of Bern officially recognised it as a cantonal competence centre for renewable energy in 2019.
