About

Eule-energiewende is a co-op headquartered in Bodenkirchen, Germany specializing in Solar.

EULE (Evaluierungssystem für eine umweltfreundliche und landschaftsverträgliche Energiewende) is a systematic and objective approach to assessing, optimizing, and certifying the nature and landscape compatibility of photovoltaic free-field installations (PV-FFA). The project transforms solar fields into biotope landscapes while supporting renewable energy expansion. EULE provides an audit system that awards points based on ecological and social measures implemented at installation sites, enabling additional revenue for operators. Customers pay an additional EULE-cent per kWh to support certified installations. The initiative was developed as a research project (phases I-III completed) and is transitioning to market entry through a registered association (EULE e.V.) comprising natural conservation and renewable energy organizations, energy suppliers, and customers.
