FWS provides certification programs for specialized partners, training and continuing education courses, technical documentation, quality assurance mechanisms including a seal of quality for geothermal drilling companies, and an ombudsman service for dispute resolution. The organization actively supports Switzerland's energy transition by promoting heat pump technology as a key replacement for fossil fuel heating systems, particularly in the context of meeting national climate and energy goals established following the May 2017 Energy Act referendum.
