Flowerpower Energy GmbH was founded in September 2018 to implement an integrated energy concept for the Blütenviertel residential development near Potsdam. The company operates a district heating network supplied by modern combined heat and power plants, rooftop photovoltaic installations, ice storage systems, heat pumps, and decentralized solar absorption equipment. The system achieves over 90% renewable electricity generation and more than 50% renewable heat supply for approximately 450 residents. Low-temperature floor heating systems can also provide cooling during summer. The company provides electricity, gas, and heat supply services with substantially lower CO2 emissions compared to conventional energy systems, offering residents cost savings through local energy supply.
