The project demonstrates a complete value chain for green hydrogen production and application, utilizing offshore wind energy to power a 1MW electrolyzer at a hospital facility in Gran Canaria. The system integrates advanced hydrogen combustion technology with a heat pump and 100% hydrogen-powered cogeneration unit to provide heating and hot water, targeting 50% reduction in CO2 emissions from conventional heat generation. Partners include Stargate Hydrogen, 2G Energy, CMC cluster, EMEC, ICoRSA, NeoDyne, and research institutions. The project runs from September 2023 to August 2028 with EU funding of €10,655,475 out of total budget of €13,062,375.
